DPS Indirapuram organized a farewell function –
‘Cineblitz’ for the students of class XII on 30th January, 2016. The
progamme commenced with a stylish cinematic Bollywood style welcome by the
students of class XI. In her welcome address the Principal Mrs. Meeta Rai
extended a warm welcome to the honourable Pro-Vice Chairperson Mrs. Santosh
Bansal, and all the other guests. She spoke with great fervor to the students
of class XII and exhorted them to work hard for the best results and blessed
them – singing an emotional melody of yester years.
A rocking performance by the school band - a curtain
raiser set the mood of the day. A short film on the fond memories of school life
filled the entire audience with nostalgia. A medley of songs was presented by
the girls of class XI and a lively dance performance by the students gave an
apt portrayal of a day in student’s life, mesmerizing the audience. Then, came
the most awaited event of the day – the ramp walk by the vibrant, dazzling and
radiant boys and girls who won the hearts of all. It was a treat to see the
dainty damsels and smart lads walk past the stage with grace and grit. The Best
Dressed boy adjudged was Dhruv Dua and Kallika Maheshwari, the ‘Best Dressed
Girl’. Manas Abhay Johriwas awarded the Mr. Talented and
Mridul Joshi was the Ms. Talented. ‘Mr.& Ms. DPS Indirapuram’ Titles were
taken by Anvesh Chaturvedi and Akshita Goel respectively. The ‘Best All Rounder
Award’went to Akshat Prakash, Deepanshu Utkarsh and Saavi Garg. All the winners
were honoured in a glittering ceremony on the stage.
The celebration and jubilation reached its zenith with
an electrifying dance performance by the Council Members of the school. This
was followed by the ‘cake cutting’ where in all the proud winners shared a
special moments with the honourable Mrs. Santosh Bansal, Pro-Vice Chairperson
DPS Indirapuram, Mrs. Meeta Rai, Principal, DPS Indirapuram and other august
gathering for the day. The day ended with reverberating dances on the floor to
tuneful and jazzy music. It was indeed the most cherishable and memorable day
for the students and all present for the function.
