Public School Indirapuram/Meerut Road celebrated Republic Day in a Special
Assembly. This is the day which is celebrated in India and every Indian People
show their respect and Pride towards the National Constitution that came under
force on the very same day i.e. on 26 January 1950.
In
keeping with the patriotic mood the school choir presented an inspirational
song saluting the spirit of India and the school dance troupe presented a mesmerizing
dance sequence, ‘Satyamev Jayate’, upholding the principles enshrined in our
constitution. Students of the school also motivated the audience by presenting
individual and group recitations. The students of Class IX & X paid a heart
touching tribute to Rani Laxmi Bai by narrating tales of her valor in the form
of poetry. Akriti Sharma, a student of class VIII also presented a short poem
on ‘Republic Day’. The students also screened a PowerPoint presentation titled
‘Incredible India’ on this occasion. The assembly ended with the National
Anthem.
The
school Principal, DPS Indirapuram/Director, DPS Meerut Road, Mrs. Meeta Rai, in
her address urged the students to nurture the patriotic
fervor from the very initial stages of their lives. Emphasizing that they were
fortunate to be born in a country like India, she further implored them to take
pride in the rich and artistic heritage of their country. She also spoke about
youth power and enthuse the students to be the winds of change and usher in a
better tomorrow.
